The short version: Burrow collects the minimum it needs to work, never sells your data, never trains models on your positioning, and only ever uses community data that platforms make public.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and name. As you use Burrow we store the searches you run, the reports they produce, and the communities you choose to track. We keep basic, aggregated usage metrics to understand whether the product works. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe and we store only a customer reference, never your card details.
How we use it
We use your data to run the product: to generate reports, send the weekly digests you ask for, enforce plan limits, and provide support. We use aggregated metrics to improve Burrow. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your positioning, searches, or reports to train any machine learning model.
Community data
Burrow indexes online communities using official APIs and public endpoints only. We store room-level public information such as a community name, link, approximate size, and recent thread titles. We do not build profiles of individual community members and we do not collect personal data about them.
Third parties
Burrow relies on a small set of service providers: Supabase for database and authentication, Anthropic for ranking, an embeddings provider for semantic search, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and Upstash for rate limiting. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account data at any time by contacting us. When you delete your account we remove your profile, searches, reports, and tracked communities. You can unsubscribe from the weekly digest and the Sunday newsletter from any email they send, with one click.
Retention and security
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Data is stored with reputable providers and access is restricted to what is required to operate the service.
